Ombré Inspired Wedding and Event Designs

In the April issue of InStyle Magazine, I saw this really fun story in their color issue.  It was an Ombré inspired tablescape.  Typically when we see an Ombré design; it is one color palette that gradually changes from light to darker tones.  This one was an all roses design, beginning with a lime green, transitioning to a pale peach to orange to dark pink to red.  It was stunning.  I decided to look at a variety of Ombré designs this week ranging from florals to cakes to linens and much more.  As you meander through this, please note that I have not focused on any one color palette.  There are so many options!  Let’s have some fun!  What’s trending now!

Here are some Ombré cakes for both weddings and parties.

This is a multi dimensional effect and the connection between the two is so elegantly constructed!  I love it!

This photo below is fun, because it is the containers that carry the Ombré effect, not the flowers.  So creative!

I started off this blog by talking about how I was inspired by InStyle Magazines Color Issue in April.  I would challenge each of us to continue to look for our own inspirations.  When I meet with a new bride, I will often ask her to bring me photos of her own inspirations.  I tell her she doesn’t have to look in a bridal magazine.  It never ceases to amaze me where people find their inspiration.  I have had brides come in with Architectural Digest or the recent catalog from Crate and Barrel.  I am not looking to replicate someone else’s wedding nor do I suggest that to my clients.  I am looking for her style.  It may be more of a structured look.  It may be whimsical.  Whatever the foundation of her inspiration – that guides me and the design team to create the overall look!  So open your eyes – look around and find what inspires you!  You don’t have to go crazy.  As we say, often times less is more.  If your personal style is more subtle, then carry that through to the various elements of your wedding!  If your personal style is more boisterous, then play with it more!
